Wallace Claymore

Wallace Claymore

The sword of Sir William Wallace, now kept at the Wallace Monument near Stirling was a two-handed sword and was an ideal weapon for toppling knights from their steeds. Wallace inspired heroic resistance to English domination by his attack on the English at Lanark and his defeat of the English army at Stirling Bridge in 1297.
